He cut hair as near perfection as could be asked. After he moved out of town, went from place to place in search of a good cut. No matter where I tried, the perfect cut I was accustomed to remained elusive. I spent as much as $45 for a bad haircut. My other concern was hygenic. When I was a kid, barbers and hairdressers everywhere immersed their combs, scisors, et cetera in a tall cylinder of blue antiseptic liquid. Now I never see any kind of sterilization or even cleaning of combs and scisors from one customer to the next. I'll bet a pair of sharp scisors may cut hair on hundreds of customers before it's sterilized, if ever. Have you ever had a nick on the ear from a barber's scisors? I have. Have you ever had an abraison on the back of your neck from a barber's razor? I have. These tools are sharp. They can and draw blood. Would you share hypodermic needles with other people in the doctor's office? I don't think so. Then why would you share scisors and razor with hundreds of other people? In this day and age of blood borne killer diseases, is sharing cuting instruments an acceptable risk for you? It's not for me. I tried cutting my own hair with conventional barber shears and scisors. With practice I got reasonably good, but it was difficult cutting the back of my head, and near the crown. Still, it was difficult and time consuming to achieve the quality cut I wanted. Then I discovered Robocut. Sure, I'd laughed my head off when I saw a commercial on television ( for a Flowbee, I think, maybe twenty-five years ago), but when I thought about it, the concept made sense. The vacuum would gently pull the hair out straight, and blades would cut the hair to a length equal to the length of the tube. And since the vacuum sucked up all the hair, there would be no mess. I compared Robocut to Flowbee on the net, and Robocut seemed like the better machine. With the guarantee, I thought, "What do I have to lose?" so I bought it. I had the Robocut delivered to me at work. Whell. My friends just howled when they saw it. It was the joke of the day. Still, people wanted to try it, but nobody could find a vacuum cleaner. I tried it at home. Let me tell you this: Robocut is practically idiotproof. It took about thirty minutes to do a PERFECT tapered haircut - the first time I tried it. Had I gone for one length of hair all over my head, it might have taken ten minutes - tops. Robocut gives a great haircut quickly and easily. It saves time, money, disappointment and embarassment. You'll probably cut your hair more often, since it's so convenient, so your hair is always just the length you want. You'll never have to suffer another bad haircut. You'll save yourself the uneasiness of being cut by an unsterilized razor or scisors, and you won't catch some horrible disease from them either. Robocut does more than give a good, quick, convenient haircut. It gives you a little more peace of mind, and it might just save your health - and your life.
